New management of Tijuana River Valley Community Garden
We are overjoyed that the County of San Diego has finalized its agreement with Olivewood Gardens and Learning Center to take over management of the Tijuana River Valley Community Garden. We know that the gardeners, farmers, and the broader community who love this space have been eagerly awaiting this news.
With heavy hearts, but also with deep pride, the Resource Conservation District of Greater San Diego County (RCDGSDC) has been working diligently to support this transition. It’s now time to hand over stewardship of the garden we have been honored to manage for over 20 years.
We thank the County and Supervisor Paloma Aguirre for their leadership and support for this community resource, and we could not imagine a more fitting new steward than Olivewood Gardens, a local non-profit organization with deep experience in South Bay communities and within the Tijuana River Valley.
