Irrigation Efficiency
This program offers free and technical support to help farming operations become as water efficient as possible. The irrigation technician conducts comprehensive on-site evaluations to assess the performance of existing drip and sprinkler systems. By measuring pressure and flow, we determine Distribution Uniformity (DU) and use these calculations to identify practical opportunities to improve irrigation efficiency.
The evaluations provide growers with a clear understanding of how effectively their system is operating. Based on the findings, we offer recommendations to enhance system performance and refine irrigation scheduling to improve water use. Implementing these recommendations can help reduce operating costs, conserve water resources, and improve crop productivity.
